The Big Day Has Arrived—Cleo Friday!

The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here—Cleo Friday! We kicked off the excitement with some energizing French Truck coffee, fueling our spirits before heading out to cheer on Shari's daughter McKenzie at her Beach Volleyball tournament. The adrenaline was already pumping, and we couldn't wait for what was next!

Let the Parade Preparations Begin!

In the afternoon, we dove headfirst into the preparations for the parade! We transformed ourselves into vibrant festival queens, donning fabulous wigs, eye-catching masks, and dazzling headdresses. With our creative outfits ready, we made our way to the colossal Cleo pre-party, and let me tell you, the energy was electric! The dance floor was alive with pulsating music, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical!

Cleo is an all-female crew, and the dance floor was packed with fierce women, all rocking chartreuse green tunics, each uniquely adorned with their own flair. It was a sight to behold, as we all danced and celebrated together under the shimmering lights!

The Parade Extravaganza!

As the parade kicked off, we were swept up in a whirlwind of excitement, surrounded by enthusiastic spectators lining the streets of New Orleans. We didn’t just toss beads; oh no, we flung a treasure trove of goodies! Cups, stuffed animals, water bottles, and a dazzling array of light-up toys soared through the air! The crowd was a delightful mix—adorable kids with their buckets and upside-down umbrellas, overly enthusiastic college students, and dedicated adults who never miss a parade in this vibrant city.

The thrill of seeing so many smiling faces, hearing the infectious music, and sharing moments with the crowd was exhilarating! Every time I tossed a trinket and heard a grateful "thank you" from a spectator, it filled my heart with joy and made my night unforgettable!

Finally, I crawled into bed at 1 a.m., my heart full and my spirit soaring, feeling incredibly thankful for the amazing experience that Shari had suggested. Cleo Friday was a whirlwind of joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
